CLEAN YOUR PIERCING AT LEAST ONCE A DAY!
-Always wash your hands before handling your fresh piercing.
- Do not rotate the jewelry. It will irritate the piercing and dislodge healing tissue from the movement.
-It is normal for a fresh piercing to secrete bodily fluids (lymph, plasma) during healing that and will become crusty when it dries. Soak it off, do not pick it off.
- Do not take out your jewelry when cleaning your piercing.
-Do not use Rubbing Alcohol or Peroxide it will oxidize the titanium and turn it black. Also do not use Neosporin or anything of that nature on your piercing.
-IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR PIERCING AT ALL CONTACT YOUR PIERCER THEY ARE THE PROFESSIONAL.
-NEVER TOUCH OR PLAY WITH YOUR PIERCING!
For Piercings outside your mouth:
Use a ¼ tsp. of non-iodized sea salt to 8oz. of warm-hot water. Hold the cup to your piercing and soak for 5mins. If you can’t use a cup, soak gauze with the sea salt solution and hold against your piercing. Change and re-soak the gauze out every minute to keep warm. The warm-hot water will help increase blood flow to the piercing. More blood flow means more red and white blood cell get to the piercing carrying oxygen and helping heal the piercing. If you are experiencing stinging when you soak or dryness after reduce the amount of salt to your solution.
For Oral Piercings:
Sea salt solution or an Alcohol free mouthwash can be used. Sea Salt solution is ¼ tsp. to 8oz of water. Put it in a water bottle and carry it around with you. Rinse after eating or smoking.
Anything cold such as ice or ice water may be use to help with the swelling. Motrin/Advil may also be used to reduce the swelling.
It is recommended that you do not consume any alcoholic beverage that has been made with yeast after these piercings have been performed until the piercing is completely healed.
Avoid using straws it will make the swelling worse.
Cooked yeast product such as breads can still be eaten.
